A Powerful Growth Experience

Each year, between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the Jennie Sapristein Girls’ High School students spend Shabbat Shuva engaged in a powerful experience of learning and togetherness.

“This will be the last year in which I’m privileged to participate in the Shabbat Shuva program,” wrote senior Yael Oren. “I want to thank the school for giving us this incredible experience each year. I find that it makes my Yom Kippur so much more meaningful and adds significance to my prayers.”

This year’s theme, “Falling Down; Getting Back Up,” was devoted to recovering from setbacks and dealing with life’s disappointments while keeping important values and goals in mind. “You gave me the tools I need to cope with things and prepared me spiritually for individual growth,” said Oren. “I know that I will miss this annual event tremendously once I’ve graduated.”
