It is not unusual for Ohr Torah Stone’s high schools to garner distinction from the Israeli government in spheres ranging from the academic, cultural and religious to the realms of absorption, volunteerism, environmentalism and social justice. In September, the Neveh Shmuel Yeshiva High School for Boys achieved yet another honor when it was recognized by the Ministry of Defense in a special ceremony for 10 high schools with the highest “motivation rates” in the country.

On the list, which included the country’s military preparatory schools, Neveh Shmuel placed fourth in inspiring a disproportionately high number of graduates to enlist in the Israeli Defense Forces’ most elite combat units, where they exhibit exemplary levels of responsibility and idealism.
