OTS New York Dinner Features International Straus RabbisFocusing on the successes of Ohr Torah Stone's rabbis and educators in the Diaspora, Ohr Torah Stone's Annual Dinner in New York celebrated last year's placement of over 50 rabbis, principals and teachers in Jewish communities worldwide. Featured alumni Rabbi Zvi Kahn, Rabbi David Rozenson and Rabbi Gideon Sylvester regaled and inspired dinner attendees with firsthand accounts of their activities.
Each of the rabbis described how their experience at Ohr Torah Stone had not merely taught them the necessary skills for learning and teaching but had transformed their personalities and their lives. All three related how they had been inspired by the profound knowledge, warmth and sensitivity of their teachers at the Joseph Straus Rabbinical Seminary, and that Rabbi Brovender and Rabbi Riskin had served as motivational role models for the important and challenging work they are doing today.

The three rabbis share the common goal of promoting Jewish unity and continuity, yet rabbis Kahn, Rozenson and Sylvester each chose a different career path. Rabbi Kahn serves as the Principal of the Hebrew High School of New England; Rabbi Rozenson is an educational consultant in the Moscow Jewish community, and Rabbi Sylvester is the spiritual leader of London's Radlett Synagogue, the fastest growing modern Orthodox community in Britain.
